Every October thousands of shoppers and collectors from all over the world attend the Rio Grande Arts and Crafts Festival, which coincides with Albuquerque’s International Balloon Fiesta. This juried show features the work of 200 fine artists and craftspeople from throughout the U.S., offering tourists and residents a unique, world-class art experience. The people of Albuquerque recognize the show by the landmark ‘Big White Tent’ – which is bigger than a football field! In addition to a fantastic artist lineup, the festival features great entertainment and music in the outdoor pavilion, a culinary arts tent with samples of New Mexican fare, artist demonstrations, a Kids’ Creation Station, great eats and more!

The Fountain Hills Festival of Arts and Crafts features nearly 500 artists, artisans and gourmet food provisioners. Over 200,000 visitors are attracted to this event to do their holiday shopping, purchase art and enjoy good food and live entertainment. Many of the artists in this fair offer unique holiday themed ornaments that have become family tradition. The mission of the Hidden in The Hills Artist Studio Tour is to provide an opportunity for the public to visit the workspaces of dedicated artists in the Sonoran Foothills, to learn about the artists’ methodology and process and to purchase directly from them in a friendly, engaging atmosphere that showcases quality art.

A signature event of the non-profit Sonoran Arts League, the 2018 Hidden In The Hills featured 174 artists in 44 studio locations throughout the scenic Desert Foothills communities of Cave Creek, Carefree, and North Scottsdale.
Now in its 22nd year, the free, self-guided studio tour offers seasoned collectors and art enthusiasts a rare chance to observe artists at work in their private studios during the six-day tour. The studio tour also attracts holiday shoppers seeking original, unique gifts.
Each studio has one or more guest artists who also display and sell their work. All artists are Sonoran Arts League members, and several will be coming from different parts of the state to participate in the annual event. My guest artists are Tim Harmon, Bronze and Carolyn Sato, Bronze

The Arizona Fine Art EXPO unites an impressive gathering of 100 nationally acclaimed and award-winning artists that passionately produce art in studios and cabanas. Artists can be seen painting in all mediums, sketching in pen & ink, pastels and pencil, assembling mosaics, sculpting clay, carving wood, composing mixed media on canvas, welding, designing and sculpting jewelry. Outside, artists can be found working in outdoor cabanas carving alabaster, etching stone, welding metal, steel and copper, patina finishing, wood carving and more! The quaint Café de Expo offers scrumptious breakfasts, snacks and lunch in the afternoon. Enjoy eating indoors, surrounded by working artists, or sit outdoors under the festive umbrellas and listen to the whispering sounds of water fountains in the Sculpture Garden for added pleasure.
